'Daoyin' is actually a really old Chinese word that pre-dates 'Qigong' which only came into circulation circa 1950's.  It provides an opportunity to become immersed in and to embody, through felt-sensed experience, ancient Taoist practices for harmonising and connecting with the earth, nature (including other people!) and the universe.

Daoyin - 導引 - Literal means to "guide and pull"

Dr Alex Boyd has been learning Daoyin, Qigong and related Chinese Taoist arts with his teachers in the UK, USA and China since 1985 and has been professionally teaching and researching since the early 1990's. He has trained many people now teaching in the UK, Europe and USA. Alex has developed a unique and progressively accessible approach to sharing such a profound body-mind-spirit practice in an inclusively fun and accessible yet deeply beneficial way.  His PhD was all about the transmission of traditional embodied knowledge. Classes can be done from a standing or sitting posture at your own pace, time and intensity.
