Franko is co-founder and artistic director of StoneCrabs Theatre Company where they are very much interested in untold stories, the dramaturgy of oral histories and have been developing the practice of metatheatrical legislative theatre. Franko also directs, writes, and teaches as a freelance artist for other theatre companies. He has trained as an actor in Brazil and UK, including a Master in Theatre Practices (Directing) from Rose Bruford College. They have worked as actor and stage director at Gamboa, Vila Velha, Castro Alves and CDL Theatre in Brazil (Bahia) and Gate Theatre, Royal Court and Young Vic in the UK.  Franko also runs acting, directing, and producing workshops in Europe, Japan and Brazil. They have been a guest lecturer/director for East15 Drama School and Regent’s University, London and have written articles for various publications including The Guardian and Brazil Observer. Franko has co-authored the book Out On An Island, The Isle of Wight's LGBTQ+ Hidden History published by Medina Books; the book has won the IWBook Awards for best non-fiction and book of the year (2023) and is also an award finalist for The Indie Book Awards and the International Book Awards.Franko is co-founder and artistic director of StoneCrabs Theatre Company where he has been developing the practice of metatheatrical legislative theatre.
