Jon Petter

European with strong UK connection

Jon has nearly 40 years experience as an artist, musician, dancer, composer, arranger and educationalist. He believes in the right of all to an artistic life, no matter their age or ability.Trained at Central School of Ballet, Community Music’s ‘Search & Reflect’ and the Center for Deep Listening @ Rennselaer, he loves to use the combined power of singing, sounding, moving and playing to empower, heal, enrich and unite communities. His regular work takes him into many community settings; he is a part-time member of staff at Queens Park Community School in London, an English National Ballet Associate Artist on the Dance for Parkinson programme, and a freelance artist with Turtle Key Arts since 2007, working on both the dementia and autism strands of their beautiful community engagement.  He is honoured to be a pioneer on the Intercultural Roots Practitioner Partnership scheme, offering Deep Listening sessions within their online program of embodied practice.
