Dr Anna Dako, AHPP, RSME/T, UKSMDT
I am the founder of DUNAMI - Movement Arts Wellbeing, a platform for ecologically mindful growth, creative development, psycho-somatic health and intercultural dialogue. DUNAMI’s offer includes regular practice-based workshops: Spring Seedling and Body Scapes, as well as self-therapy resources. I specialise in supporting and working through versatile psycho-somatic imbalances, and love guiding experiential walks outdoors, especially throughout Aberdeenshire.
My practice focuses on practice-based research in creative arts and environmental psychology perspectives on mental health and wellbeing. I have developed multiple movement-based approaches towards more embodied ways for ‘being well’ with the natural environment guided by processes of Somatic Felt Thinking. The methodology is now offered as an online course in Eco-Somatic Movement Education and further described in my recent books ‘Dances With Sheep - On RePairing the Human-Nature Condition in Felt Thinking and Moving Towards Wellbeing’ and Walking to Wellbeing - A Guide to Practising Self-Care in Somatic Felt Thinking.
