About

Full Description:

Each class will explore a different body part, sensing into our anatomical and imaginal landscape and inviting movements to unfold from explorations of weight, gravity, space, momentum, stillness and imagination. We may explore our own unique questions that arise when we give voice to the body; how can our movements and images  reveal our inner worlds, our longings and a wider discovery of ourselves?

In these Somatic Expressive Arts classes we will use the tools of Somatic Movement and self reflective arts practices to explore the interconnection between the physical, emotional and imaginal levels of experience.  You will be invited to find your own emergent movement expressions and the places of resource, vitality and health in the body to support transformation and growth. Moving at your own pace and rhythm, this is a supportive space to slow the attention and tend to the murmurings of the heart; to listen, to rest, be moved, and let the body take you on a journey of discovery. Each week there will be time for personal self reflection and integration of the work within a supportive container.

Classes can be taken as a drop in, although we recommend joining the whole series due to its process oriented nature. No experience necessary just come with curiosity and a willingness to work with self directed attention. All you need is a quiet space to move in and some art materials or pens, and a journal.

While the live workshops will take place in Zoom, all participants will receive an invitation to join our Basecamp online forum for additional support and group communication.
