Day 3 of a Three-day Gathering at The Place, London - Featuring Puma Camillê
Step into the shimmer and shade of the world of Ballroom culture: Embodied Queer Liminality, a celebration of radical presence and performative resistance. This event brings together an iconic panel of judges — Legendary Juju Telfar, Legendary Sattva 007, and Legendary Diva 007 — to honour and critique performances that push the boundaries of gender, grace, and glamour.
Our MC for the day is the inimitable Tsunami 'E-Cup Barbie' Unbothered Cartier, a force within London’s drag and ballroom scene. Known for her commanding presence and razor-sharp commentary, Tsunami embodies the electric pulse of contemporary Ballroom — a space of both protest and celebration.
Expect a fusion of performance, politics, and play, where every strut tells a story and every category is a ritual of becoming.

• IN PAJUBA or PORTUGUESE
Get your tens by adding some Pajuba or Portuguese words into the mix.
Pajubá is a slang used by Afro-Brazilian trans women, travestis, and queer communities, blending Portuguese with African languages like Yoruba and Kimbundu. It originated in Afro-religious spaces and became a tool of survival, identity, and resistance in hostile environments. Like Ballroom culture in the U.S., Pajubá uses language and performance to build community and affirm marginalized identities. Today, it is a vibrant part of Brazil’s queer and Ballroom scenes, mixing Black, trans, and queer expressions with spiritual and cultural roots.
