About

Full Description:

This 6-week series is designed to help you reconnect with your voice in a fun, gentle and supportive atmosphere. In each class, you’ll be guided through simple vocal and movement activities that are easy to follow regardless of experience. These sessions aim to help you feel more confident with your voice, relax tension in the body, lift mood, and awaken creativity.

Together we will explore how voice and sound can support our wellbeing—something humans have used for thousands of years to connect, celebrate, release emotion, and feel part of a community. You don’t need to know any history or special terminology—just bring yourself, an open mind, and a willingness to explore.

Over 6 weeks we will explore:
• Vocal Play: Light-hearted exercises for joy and creativity
• Voice & Wellbeing: How sound affects the body and the nervous system
• Vocal Health: Helpful warm-ups and care for your voice
• Emotional Expression: Positive ways to release and move emotion using sound
• Sound & Stillness: Exploring voice, silence, and inner calm
• Voice in Ancient Traditions: Simple mantras and spirit-based songs from around the world

What to expect in each class:
• A calm, friendly pace — no pressure, no performance
• Guided vocal and breathing exercises (you can participate seated or standing)
• Opportunities for group sound-making and playful exploration
• Optional moments for solo expression (only if you feel comfortable—never required)
• A short discussion at the end to reflect and share experiences

What to bring:
• Comfortable clothing
• A notebook and pen (optional)
• A bottle of water
• Your curiosity and willingness to experiment with sound

No musical training or singing experience is needed — every voice is welcome!
