Prelude to Qi Gong Practice: Internal Alchemy

Part 1 of 12: Dr. Feng presents an overview of this course, the rationale for discussing Traditional Chinese Medicine concepts as foundational to meaningful medical Qi Gong and Tai Chi practice

Foundational to medical Qi Gong practice, this course provides an understanding of the major principles, concepts and philosophy of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine).

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is foundational for medical Qi Gong practice. This six week course provides an understanding of the major principles, concepts and philosophy of TCM. The focus is on assessment techniques to fully understand the application of Qi Gong mechanisms that underlie all Qi Gong forms. This ancient wisdom and methodology is applicable to our modern world in understanding health, health restoration and health maintenance.  Dr. Feng builds on a lifetime of studying and practicing Qi Gong and TCM.  These approaches to health have existed over 4000 years; recent scientific studies have demonstrated broad benefit of regular Qi Gong practice to physical, spiritual and mental health.

Dr. Feng, a scholar of the major styles of qi gong, teaches the forms with the integration of TCM and offers insight into the quintessential aspect of healing that is within each of us rooted in self awareness.
